Madina Kalimullina

Born on 2 November 1984 in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk Region.

In 2007 graduated with honors from Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the faculty of International Economic Relations. Degree obtained: Bachelor in Economics.

In 2008 graduated from Moscow Islamic University. Degree obtained: Teacher of religious sciences.

In 2011 graduated from Financial Academy by the Government of the Russian Federation, post-graduate. Successfully defended thesis on economics on the topic “Institutional features of Islamic business: experience and problems”. PhD in Economics.

Has internships on islamic finance in JSC «Ecobank» (Kyrgyzstan), Al Baraka Banking Group (Bahrain), Bank Muamalat Indonesia (Indonesia) etc.

Since 2007 works in Russia Mufties Council.

In 2011, was appointed as Head of Economic Dept., Russia Muftis Council. The main tasks in the post of the head are elaboration and realization programs on development economic activity of Muslims and Muslim organizations, halal producers, according to the principles of Islam.

Since 2012, combines the main work with the position of deputy chairman and CEO of the Organizing Committee of Moscow International Exhibition “Halal” Moscow Halal Expo.

Since 2012 is member of the Commission under the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation on the implementation of the Federal Law № 327-FA "On the transfer of state and municipal property to religious organizations for religious purposes."

Is a member of the coordinating council of the Russian Association of Experts in Islamic Finance (since 2010), member of the board of the Union of Russian Muslim Women, member of the editorial board of the Islamic women's magazine "Musulmanka" (Muslim woman) and the magazine about halal lifestyle "Halal Globe."

Is the organizer and curator of the Internet portal "Islamic Economics, Business & Finance» MuslimEco.ru, Business Development Club, Personnel Center "Amal", translation of the standards of the Accounting and Auditing Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) in Russian. Author and host of "Net profit" for MIRadio.ru (2013). Author of the book "Zakat. Practical Guide "(co-authored with R. Bekkin).

Has experience of teaching of the subjects "Islamic finance" and "World experience of Islamic finance."
